Americangirl vs. Salzburg: What I am really thankful for.

I am sorry that Austria has turned into Nazi Germany (hopefully no one is reading this blog, or I might not be alive when you get back). Hang in there Kris. We all love you and are very thankful for you too. I'm really glad that you got to celebrate Thanksgiving and eat some pumpkin pie (Besides family, that is the best part of Thanksgiving, if you ask me).
Also, I know it's not the same but I really missed my family this Thanksgiving too. This was the first year that I wasn't with them and it was kind of hard. However, I can't think of any family that I would rather be with. I can't wait until you get home!
Tom and I love you very much. :0)

P.S.- your mom and I got up and went shopping at Kohls @ 4AM (poor little Tommy poo hard to work). Don't you miss American consumerism??

I think I would shrivel up and die without internet, so I feel your pain. Whenever I was in Europe, I had to make frequent visits to the internet places where you had to pay by the minute. It actually didnt cost that much but since I was on vacation, I was only needing to do it once a day or so. If I was there as long as you, I'd probably be using the internet more frequently...

My husband once wrote me an email--I think I blogged it once--about how weird he felt in Europe all by himself for two weeks. I couldn't understand it at the time, but I think I have a better understanding now since I've been there. It really feels as though you've gone to another planet... your cell phone won't even work over there (and would cost a fortune to use if it could anyway), everyone around you speaks a foreign language, and sometimes even the cultural norms are foreign. It's very weird.

Hang in there, though. I think this will turn out to be the best experience of your life. We will miss you very much at the annual Herrmann Christmas Eve Extravaganza, though!

I have fallen behind on reading your blog lately, and I am sad about that.
I am thankful for cyberbullying because it brought us together to form a fantastic zwillship.
